The rules for using StayBee.
By creating an account, publishing a listing, or booking a stay you agree to these terms. Read them — they set out what we do, what we don't, and what happens when something goes wrong.

What StayBee is
StayBee is a marketplace. We connect guests looking for short-term stays in and around Bangalore with hosts who list their properties.
We are not a hotel, a travel agent, an insurer, or a party to the agreement between a guest and a host. The stay itself is a contract between those two people. Our role is discovery, listing tools, booking coordination, and moderation.
Eligibility and your account
- You must be 18 or older and legally able to enter a contract.
- The details on your account must be accurate and kept up to date.
- You are responsible for everything done under your account — keep your password to yourself.
- One person, one account. Accounts may not be sold or transferred.
Rules for guests
- Book only for the number of guests you declare, and only for the dates you request.
- Respect the host's house rules, check-in and check-out timings, and the property itself.
- You are responsible for damage you or your party cause beyond fair wear and tear.
- Do not use a booked property for parties, commercial filming, or any unlawful activity without the host's written agreement.
- Reviews must describe a stay you actually had, and must be honest.
Rules for hosts
- You must have the legal right to let the property — including landlord, society, or co-owner permission where it applies.
- Listings must be accurate: real photos of the actual property, honest pricing, and a correct area and amenity list.
- Comply with local law, including any municipal registration, safety, and tax obligations that apply to short-term letting in your area.
- Honour confirmed bookings. Repeated last-minute cancellations will affect your ranking and may end your hosting privileges.
- Never ask a guest to pay or communicate off-platform to avoid fees or oversight.
Pricing, fees, and taxes
Hosts set their own nightly price. Prices shown to guests include the StayBee service fee where applicable, and are displayed in Indian Rupees.
Premium listings are a paid promotional placement. Paying for placement improves visibility; it does not buy a verification badge or exempt a listing from moderation.
You are responsible for your own tax obligations, including GST where applicable.
Cancellations
Each listing shows the host's cancellation terms at the time of booking, and those terms govern the booking. StayBee may cancel a booking at any time if we believe the listing is fraudulent, unsafe, or in breach of these terms, and we will tell the affected parties when we do.
Content you post
You keep ownership of the photos, descriptions, and reviews you upload. You grant StayBee a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, resize, and promote that content in connection with the platform. You must have the right to post it — do not upload photos you did not take or do not have permission to use.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or remove a listing or an account that breaches these terms, is the subject of credible safety reports, or is used for fraud. You may close your account at any time; closing it does not cancel bookings already confirmed, and does not erase records we are required to retain.
Liability
StayBee is provided as-is. We do not guarantee that a listing will meet your expectations, that a host will honour a booking, or that the service will be uninterrupted.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim connected with the platform is limited to the StayBee service fees you paid on the booking that the claim relates to.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version, and continuing to use StayBee after a change means you accept it. Questions go to support@staybee.in.
